Partner organisations

Partnership working continues to be a key element of the work of the IRH. The partnerships have evolved out of the multidisciplinary nature of the academic programmes at the IRH and the different types of partnership reflect the wide range of activities that the IRH is involved in to take the rural health agenda forward.

Partnerships are established on a project-by-project basis and the IRH works with chosen partners which have the skills and knowledge to complement those of the IRH. All projects have an advisory group that is made up on a multi-disciplinary and multi agency basis to ensure that key stakeholders are represented. The groups usually meet over the duration of the particular project and their input is key to ensuring the success of that project.

The IRH also works in partnership with a wide range of agencies and organisations where there is an interest and a commitment to rural health and wellbeing, such as key government departments and statutory bodies and the third sector.
